Position Summary: 

The position helps administer the enterprise-wide business continuity program. This responsibility includes developing and testing emergency response, disaster recovery, and business resumption plans for critical functional areas of UCI Health. Incumbent ensures business operates as usual during, before and after a disaster. These plans include arrangements and procedures that prepare the organization to respond to a disaster in such a way that critical technology resources and business functions can be resumed within an acceptable period.


Salary Range: 


Rate    Minimum  $97,000.00    Maximum  $174,900.00


Required Qualifications:

7 plus years experience architecting, developing, deploying, and supporting complex computing applications in a medium to large scale environment

Ability to discover and define technical requirements and their relationship to functional requirements and to determine the adequacy of documented requirements for architecture definition

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the HealthSystem

Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload

Ability to take creative and abstract concepts and produce a solid application framework

Broad knowledge of business process including disaster recovery, business continuity and risk management

Broad knowledge of infrastructure technology, including server hardware, operating systems, networking, storage, virtualization, automation and cloud architecture

Demonstrated ability in determining how technology can be applied to meet business needs

Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Window Server 2003/2008/2012, IBM-UNIX/AIX, VMware, and CISCO Networks

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Minimum 3 years’ experience in planning and implementing disaster recovery solutions

Must be willing and able to work occasional weekends and evenings as needed

Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job

Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties


Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to do performance monitoring and analysis for storage, network, server hardware and peripherals across multiple operating systems environments (Solaris, Windows, Linux and Legacy Operating Systems)

Disaster Recovery and ITIL principles in relation to Enterprise Systems and Applications

Previous experience in disaster recovery builds

Working knowledge of Active Directory, XML, .Net Framework, MSMQ, TCP/IP, security hardening procedures and tools for IIS/W2K/SQL
