Position Summary: 

Incumbent is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining policies and procedures governing physician practice and practice privileges. Incumbent's primary focus is on the acquisition and dissemination of information relative to membership in the Medical Staff organization privileges and patient care practice as well as the monitoring and evaluation of the quality of care provided by all participating practitioners.


Salary Range: 


Rate    Minimum  $79,800.00    Maximum  $181,900.00


Required Qualifications:

3-5 years of project management experience

Ability to apply sound judgment in ambiguous situations and effectively manage change

Ability to coordinate and resolve issues in a timely manner

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the HealthSystem

Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload

Ability to persuade or influence people to take appropriate action

CPCS and/or CPMSM Certified

Demonstrated understanding of medical terminology

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Minimum of 5 years experience in  credentialing medical staff

Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job

Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties

Strong Knowledge of Joint Commission JCAHO, NCQA, and Title 22 regulations

Strong analytical and problem solving skills and the ability to plan strategically

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Working knowledge of MS Office products


Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree

Dual Certification in any of the following areas: CPMSM, CPCS, CPHQ

Knowledge of University policies and procedures
