Position Summary:
The incumbent provides a wide range of administrative and analytical functions (data collection, problem analysis and resolution, system analysis, etc.) in support of the Health Information Department.
Salary Range:
Rate Minimum $21.68 Midpoint $33.00 Maximum $44.33
Required Qualifications:
Ability to act independently to solve problems and develop recommendations for approval
Ability to analyze and manage budgets and make forecasts as required
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the HealthSystem
Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
Ability to successfully identify priorities while managing multiple assignments simultaneously
Demonstrated ability to create and produce complex reports using computer programs such as Excel, Access, Word, and Powerpoint
Demonstrated experience working with staff, managers, physicians and/or high-level administrative staff to accomplish established outcomes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Minimum 2 years’ experience working in progressively more complex analytical/support roles within a healthcare unit
Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
Previous experience creating, maintaining, and extracting information from a variety of databases
Resourcefulness to identify and search for information that is not readily available
Strong analytical skills to collect and analyze operational data
Preferred Qualifications:
Administrative experience in a healthcare environment
Experience in an academic environment
Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
Previous experience working in or providing support to a cardiac care setting
