Position Summary: 

Incumbent performs assists physicians and nurses in the medical care and treatment of orthopedic outpatients. Performs clerical functions associated with the operations of a clinical office as necessary.


Salary Range: 


Rate    Minimum  $22.54   Midpoint  $25.28   Maximum  $28.03


Required Qualifications:

Ability to communicate effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the HealthSystem

Ability to maintain a flexibility and work well in a constantly changing environment

Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload

BLS certification upon hire

Demonstrated completion of extremity immobilization and/or casting workshop within 6 months of hire

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Medical Assistant Diploma or Certificate of Competency / Recognition in Medical Assisting Clinical / Back Office

Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job

Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties

Understanding of medical terminology


Preferred Qualifications:

Bilingual skill in Spanish or Vietnamese or Chinese

Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms

Previous experience working as an Orthopedic Tech in an ambulatory setting
